I have been taking a playful approach to this “artist” thing. I’m trying to let my curiosity and intuition guide me. Typically, an idea for a painting occurs to me unbidden. I may sketch something on my iPad as a rough design. Then I start painting. Things never go according to plan. Part of the practice is allowing that to be delightful. Allowing the media to do what it does.

Artists talk of finding their style and their voice; forming a kind of artistic identity. Maybe that will happen with me someday. At this point, I just continue to play.
