I continued with the rising and opening theme of this blossoming pieces. I think the layering and color palette give this one a more calm feel and a sense of the natural world.

As with Blossom 1, I created a background by blending pan pastels on plain medium. Then did the initial set of small branches with small leaves. I paused at this point:

Kind of pleasant, I thought, but not much depth or movement.

Inspiration finally struck and I added a layer on top with larger figures. It might still not be done, but I am pausing again…
