Initial playing with plaster of Paris on joint compound.

India ink on a gesso’d panel. Then experimented with suspending two levels of thread on supports of wax. Suspending the threads worked – I coated them with wax for rigidity. However, using wax as the support did not work so well. If I do this technique again, I think I will make supports with paper clay. Here is an angled image where you can see the construction detail.
