I made this collage for two friends that are in love and now engaged. Their names both start with M and I sometimes refer to them as “M and M”, so that made it into the work.

I did this at MCER 2024. We were doing wax resist on paper. Wax is applied and then the paper is dyed. The parts without wax take up the dye. The parts with wax take up little or none. I made myself a few templates and produced a bunch of hearts; then applied them between layers of medium.
